If you’ve always wanted to go horseback riding and discover the wonders of Cuba just like the colonists did long ago, this is definitely the trip for you! Climb aboard your very own steed and traverse the winding pathways to discover untold natural beauty and history, deep in the heart of Cuba.
Located just 15 kilometres outside Pinar del Rio, the Finca La Guabina is one of Cuba’s most exclusive horse farms renowned for its Pinto Stallions – it’s here that you’ll begin your journey.
Built in the early twentieth century, this beautifully nestled old farmhouse is scenically located amongst breathtaking mountains, soulful valleys, and overlooks an utterly peaceful lagoon. With virgin beaches, local vegetation, and the gentle call of wild birds, this idyllic property lends a relaxing atmosphere to long walks, horseback riding, horse-drawn carriages, and even rowing on the lagoon. Occasional rodeos bring the region’s top riders front and centre to perform for the guest at the Finca – if you’re lucky, you just might get to see one!
The property offers a main house with five rooms, three independent cabins, a private restaurant for guests, barbecue, and bar. La Guabina was first owned by a Spanish family and thereafter by the Ferros, a Cuban family who nurtured the Finca and promoted the ranch activities popular here today. Covering 1000 hectares, the Finca is a real working cattle ranch and farm; rich in history, it is most importantly and emblematically known for its breeding of Cuban horses like the Pinto Cubano and Appaloosa. Come and see what this slice of paradise can bring to your life!
Upon your arrival for Horseback riding tour in cuba at La Guabina Ranch, you will be invited to enjoy a welcome cocktail,
