Observe some of Cuba’s beautiful migratory and local birds
This option allows the customer to enjoy watching the most important migratory birds of Cuba which are located in the Cienaga de Zapata National Park. Among the main species can be found flamenco, the spatula, the ivis and the heron. You can also observe forest birds along the way.
No more than 4 groups with a maximum of 20 people each (Total daily: 80 PAX). Two groups in the morning and two in the afternoon.
Discover Cuba’s colorful treasures when you tour the homes of Cuba’s most important migratory and local birds. Step into nature conservatories where these beautiful birds are protected, enjoying them up close and personal.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Varadero and transported to several sites such as Las Salinas de Brito, Zapata National Park, and Punta Perdiz to set your gaze on various waterfowl and forest birds.

Las Salinas, which sits in the Zapata Peninsula and was first considered for extraction of its salt deposits, is now a protected sanctuary for Cuba’s migratory and local birds. You won’t miss viewing these birds on two thousand square kilometers of wetlands. More than 65 migratory species travel to this location from North America.
You will be thrilled to find the National Bird of Cuba, the Tocororo, as well as Florida ducks, pelicans, herons and cranes. Luck may shine in your favor if you spot the elusive stork and sparrow cranes. Even unseasoned bird watchers will be tickled to see such an array of Cuban wildlife in one place.
The star of this tour is the brilliant pink flamingo, a bright and beautiful creature to behold.
A protected species, the flamingo is sure to be the highlight of your tour, a bird that needs no Instagram filter, and photographers will be delighted to include photos of this beauty among their collection of rainbow plumages.
Take a break from the beauties of the sky to enjoy the beauties of the water bysnorkeling and diving into Punta Perdiz. With amazing clarity in the water, you’ll find arrays of coral and tropical wonders below. You’ll find rainbows of tropical fish and explore underwater caves. Fun can also be enjoyed out of the water by way of volleyball games set up along the shoreline, or simply relax and take a load off your feet in one of the many sun loungers.
After so much excitement and activity, you’ll want to indulge in lunch at the fun boat-shaped restaurant situated on the shore, complete with open bar.
Enjoy the view of the rocky shoreline while you dine, wrapping up this exciting nature tour.
