Whether you’re coming in via Havana airport or Varadero airport, one of our guides will be sure to meet you and ensure your trip to Marina Gaviota is as pleasant as possible. You’ll start your first night at The Beatles Club in Varadero, followed by onboard check-in at Marina Gaviota. Our friendly guide is there to answer any questions you may have about your upcoming trip and all the sights and sounds you’ll get to experience!
The second day of your trip will begin with a hearty breakfast before your journey begins! Climb aboard a beautiful sailboat as we set sail gently out towards the Cabezo Amarillo coral reef for some snorkeling! Discover tropical fish, beautiful sea plant life, and discover how coral lives and maintains a delicate ecosystem under the ocean.
From those breathtaking views, we’ll head northeast to the Bay of Cardenas and Santa Clara, through a few different channels and inlets until we reach mesmerizing the Bay of Cadiz, home to a protected natural site full of startlingly beautiful flora and fauna.
Here, we will drop anchor, explore its true magnificence, and enjoy a well-earned meal of local food before we turn in for the night.
Waking up to a beautiful sunrise in the Bay of Cadiz, you’ll enjoy a lovely breakfast followed by a trip to see the lighthouse. Built in 1862, this is an absolute must-see historical treasure! Learn about the lighthouse keepers and the history of the area in this tour.
Afterwards, you’ll sail east up to Cayo Hicacal, taking in the numerous attractions this paradise island has to offer. Experience breathtaking rocky cliffs, shaggy palm trees that sway lazily in the late afternoon breeze, and pristine white-sand beaches and coral reefs – so beautiful they’ll practically beg you to stay forever! The tranquility of the place is all the therapy you’ll need to relax while the chirping of birds and soothing lapping of ocean waves creates the ultimate idyllic environment.
Lunch on board 2 your boat is the perfect midday pick-me-up, before the end of the afternoon finds you on a magical corner of the key for a quiet night and dinner watching the sunset.
Truly, this will be a day spent in decadent paradise. It’s almost too good to be true!
As you sail toward the Santa María key, passing through the pure beauty of the Ensenachos key, the pristine, clear beaches will call out with such persistence that it will be all but essential to stop and indulge in a perfect cool and relaxing swim.
Enjoy a delicious lunch aboard the boat as you sail towards the beautiful coral reef called Los Diablitos, best explored by snorkeling! As the boat docks in the later afternoon in Cayo Santa María, you will head into La Estrella village to enjoy the local night life, with your choice of restaurants, piano bar, disco, and even bowling! This quaint village boasts beautiful views and architecture, giving you plenty of time for photos. An exciting evening on land awaits you!
After breakfast, get ready for an exciting bus trip to learn a bit about how tourism has come about in this area of Cuba.
This is truly a tour for history buffs, as it includes a variety of learning activities. You’ll experience a tour of historic, social and tourism attractions to the Museum of the Armored Train, Central Park, and visit to the mausoleum of Che and his compatriots, fallen in Bolivia!
You’ll stop for lunch in the city restaurant, La Rosalía, and then in the afternoon, experience a visit to the city of San Juan de los Remedios, the eighth Cuban village, founded in 1513! A treasure trove of beautiful legends, expression of art past, present, and future, and of great historical and patrimonial value awaits you! When all of the art and history is through, you’ll get to return to the catamaran for dinner and a night to unwind on the gently rocking ocean waves.
On your sixth day, you’ll have become quite the sailor! Now, you will visit the keys Fragoso and Francés.
This is another majestic area of the north coast of Cuba that is distinguished by its numerous beaches of fine white sand, enhancing the unique beauty of the area. Not only is it great for sunbathing, it’s also wonderful for underwater activities by the existence of a magnificent seabed. Cuba’s north coast offers breathtaking views both above and below the water’s surface.
Discover the historical ship San Pascual, located in front of Cayo Francés since 1933. It was built in 1920 under the Protocol of a shipping company in San Diego, California, who made three copies of this type of vessel, of which the San Pascual is the only survivor. The ship boasts a rich history – a tidbit of which that Hemingway visited it in some of its passages along the coast! Also, the famous artist Leopoldo Romañach was inspired and painted some of his most beautiful seascapes from its deck.
As you make your way back, you’ll begin heading west through La Isabela, a small coastal town in the North of Villa Clara, continuing to Cayo Esquivel, ideal for fishing with an abundance of species such as the Snapper, Snapper Creole, Bucket and Mona, among others.
The day finishes in the Bay of Cadiz 3 where a sumptuous local dinner is prepared and served and you’ll once again experience a night in paradise.
After breakfast, the next area you are headed to is Cayo Blanco, for some snorkeling and water sports.
If you love swimming, here’s the place to do it! You’ll need it by this time – enjoy a midday lunch on board followed by sunset docking at the port of Cayo Blanco to enjoy the white sandy beaches.
You’ll have free time to wander through the key, followed by a joyful game of volleyball and tasting fresh coconut water! Evening brings a trip to the restaurant at the key or along the beach before turning in for the night at the dock in Cayo Blanco.
This day starts with a visit to the dolphin aquarium in Rancho Cangrejo!
As you sail towards the marina and land, you will be taken from Gaviota Marina to the Havana airport with one of our top rated guides.
You can choose to experience a city tour to Old Havana, which includes: lunch at El Floridita Bar-Restaurant; walking tour by Plaza Vieja, Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza de Armas and Plaza San Francisco of Assisi and visit to the Ambos Mundos Hotel and the Bodeguita del Medio restaurant.
